Mining & Material Handling

After gaining success in transportation business, IRC has diversified into the contract mining domain, has engaged by large Steel, Power and Alumina conglomerates to provide equipment in the chrome mines at Sukinda and iron and manganese mines at Joda since years. Company’s mining division (IRC Natural Resources Pvt. Ltd. or INRPL) has accordingly organized ‘off-highway’ mining equipments such as Komatsu, Dozers, Excavators and Dumpers for operations in these areas.
With the Hands-on Experience (more than 15 years) in mining & coal transport from Talabira Mines (Sambalpur, Orissa) to Hirakud Power Plant (Aditya Birla Group) and the captive power plant of GMR Group, INRPL won contract of iron-ore transport from TATA’s Joda mines to it’s factory.

After successfully accomplishing various mining and material handling aspects with practical experience, company recently came into leasing based contracts of black stone, granites & rock phosphate Mines in Birbhum (Hatgacha & Khajura area) and Purulia (Beldih & Palsara) district of West Bengal state, with “West Bengal Mineral Development and Trading Corporation Ltd. (WBMDTC)”, the only PSU under West Bengal Government.

IRC is among the leading players in private mining and material handling segment in India, with sound mining capacity leveraging fully mechanized ultra-modern machineries and adopting state-of-art technology powered by highly trained personnel.

Ash Management & Export

Pulverized coal-based power plants generate bottom ash and fly ash, disposal of which poses a great challenge, specially from the point of view of environment management. IRC, with long experience in the field, is in a position to offer total solution in conformity with environmental and pollution control norms.

Bottom ash is primarily used for land filling purpose and IRC supplies large quantity of bottom ash to major land filling companies. The Group has also executed bottom ash management projects of large integrated power plants.

Fly-ash is used as a major raw material in manufacturing cement, bricks, tiles etc. It is also used in road works. IRC supplies fly-ash to local Ready Mixed Concrete (RMC) making companies and also to bricks and tiles manufacturers. However, our major market for fly-ash is in Bangladesh and we export fly-ash to almost all reputed cement companies of Bangladesh viz. Holcim Cement, Basundhara Group, Shah Cement, Seven Circle Group, Heidelberg Cement, Metrocem Group, Unique Cement and many others.

IRC has developed it’s own riverine jetty to have dedicated berthing and handling facility captive in nature at Haldia and Budge Budge for exporting fly-ash to Bangladesh. At Haldia, fly ash is transported from power plant to jetty through bulker, where ash is loaded in barges by using a compressor. At Budge Budge, we have a pneumatic handling system to convey the ash from CESC power plant directly into the barges at the jetty through a pipeline-cyclone separator-rotary valve-screw conveyor system.

Warehousing & Records Management

IRC provides custom integrated transportation solutions incorporating warehouses which are a blend of worked to-suit, committed and multi-client stockrooms across the country. Our overall storage space is more than 10 lakh sq.ft. (7 lakh sq.ft. covered area with 3 lakh sq.ft. open area) in India. Our Warehouse and Distribution Network Services offer short-term and long-term options as well as customized solutions, developing world-class warehousing facilities at key industrial hubs across India. The company also provides independent and shared facilities, inventory control, and security to the designated consignmentsat it’s (owned or leased) warehouses across the country.

Professional Warehousing and C&F Business

We offer complete warehouse or its chambers / area / space on lease / long lease basis to different clients for storage of variety of goods, ranging from FMCG, packaging, electronic or general commodities. Commodity Warehousing

After setting benchmark in warehousing service, IRC stepped into commodity (pulses, maize, cashew, cereals etc.) storage and distribution business offering independent and impartial storage facilities, intelligent inventory assuring compliance of activities/operations with client specifications, codes and accredited norms, standards or government regulations. Our storage & cargo handling services enable clients to cut-down wastage, reduce costs, risk and operational complexities.

We have a state-of-the art Record Management Systems with the latest internationally used software technology. Logistics & Transportation

Since the very beginning, IRC is involved in transportation business – particularly movement of raw material (iron ores, chromite, coal, aluminum, fly-ash etc.), as an integral part of ”Supply Chain Management” of large industries in Steel, Power, Coal and other core sectors. The company’s long expertise in multimodal transport & logistics business over Dimensional Cargo, Heavy Transport and Project Freight Forwarding has emboldened it’s market image powered by proper and punctual transportation.
Apart from raw materials as mentioned, we are also engaged in transporting finished goods like polimar-plastic granules, cigarettes, paints etc.

Financial Advisory

After gaining high credibility through trust and value in core businesses (logistics, mining, warehousing, export etc.), management at IRC has opened up a separate wing (IRC Broking Advisory Pvt. Ltd.) for financial advisory services in the current year (2017). With an emphasis on customized solutions in the areas of financial advisory, capital markets, wealth management and alternative asset management, company’s initial focus is dealing with Mutual Funds, IPO(s), Corporate Deposit & Bonds, Housing Loans etc., and on due course of time, the business will emerge as integrated financial Services, adhering to the highest standards of ethics, integrity and transparency. Plantation

IRC Group is engaged in agricultural & plantation activities (leveraging exclusively organic fertilizers and pesticides) joining hands with Government along with Ramakrishna Mission. Presently the company has acquired 300 acres land in Idyllic location (located at McCluskieganj, Jharkhand state) where over 1,00,000 different trees (Eucalyptus, fruits including mangoes, litchis etc.) have already been planted, adding to the beauty of this area.

The place enjoys excellent weather and is blessed with awe inspiring woods and landscape which adds distinction to its serenity, and thus slowly it became an attractive tourist destination. Agriculture is encouraged in the surrounding villages of the area and local recruitment of staff has aided employment generation in this poverty afflicted area. Insurance Broking

Having a license from IRDA, a separate division within the IRC Group was involved in handling all the vehicle insurance matters for own vehicles; business activities revolve in house (captive business i.e.) – means, whenever any requisition of insurance comes from own sister concern we invite quotation from different insurers (from whom we got IMD code), and thereafter based on the derived quotations we submit proposal and got the policy from the insurer. Most of such policies are motor based, and besides, we also deal with fire, burglary and professional indemnity policy too.

Since the year 2016, the insurance division of IRC has started doing insurance for outside parties under IRDA guidelines, as per corporate expansion plan, and currently is enjoying commission only on comprehensive non-life insurances like motor, fire, health & other policies as per IRDA guidelines. We are associated with well-known insurance firms in India like Bajaj, Tata, Future Generali, National etc.

Cargo Handling & Stevedoring - at Haldia Port

We’re able to complete maritime constructions of all magnitudes, from developing commercial wharfs to building private jetties. Our marine construction team includes jetty builders who can assist with anything from private jetties for residential properties to collaborating with government bodies to build jetties for public use.

We have a proven portfolio of successfully developed own Jetty construction project at Haldia, West Bengal, from where the company subsequently transport fly-ash by river barges to Bangladesh for supply to various cement manufacturing plants in that country.

We have entered into a contract with Haldia Dock Complex (Kolkata Port Trust) for shore handling operation at Berth No. 13 including Operation and Maintenance of different white cargo handling equipment for a period of 10 years. We have started providing complete cargo loading/unloading & custom clearance services for bulk white cargo like Iron Ore, Cement Clinkers, MOP, Sulphur etc. leveraging two modern sophisticated Mobile Harbour Cranes in the berth. Entire cargo handling operations are maintained and supported by a team of highly skilled and experienced professionals, which in turn, ensures safety and reliability at site. Our Gottwald branded Mobile Harbour Cranes have highest level of efficiency in design, capacity and superior performance.

Our strong presence in Haldia Port with decade long experience has enabled us in developing efficient & cost effective handling methodologies, covering all aspects from cargo operations to plant-end monitoring with assurance of quality and quantity of cargo. Through dedicated manpower, sound IT enabled systems and efficient operational teams, IRC is able to provide a customer experience which no other company is able to offer.

Hospitality & Entertainment

IRC brings to the East, a unique, state of the art structure, with prolific banquets facilities, both covered and pristine settings of a well manicured lawn, an indoor trampoline park and, a ‘one of a kind’ children’s play area, for the young at heart ones. Ideal for families, this facility will also house culinary experiences for both the health conscious and food lovers equally.

Located strategically at P 154, Remount Road, Kolkata, the facility will enable banquets both large and small and the decor, customisable to the taste of the guest will create the ideal ambience to pamper. The banquet facilities will be supported by top of the range cuisine and service that will only please.
